Welcome, My name is Nick Brewer. I am a graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I finished with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. I was born and raised in the small town of North Pole, AK. A strange place where the adults celebrate Christmas, and the children are the skeptics. I have spent the past five years working at KSUA 91.5 FM/CCTV 21. I went from a volunteer DJ in 2003 to General Manager in 2005. I hosted the popular KSUA Talkshow for two years, and wrote for the UAF student newspaper The Sun Star. I was also a staff member of the now defunct www.fbxshows.com. I began my journey to New York City in summer 2006, as an intern for the CMJ Music Network. The following summer I became a 2007 IRTS Summer Fellow and interned in the WNYC newsroom. Upon returning to Fairbanks for the month of August, I sold everything I could and moved to NYC with a hockey bag and a box. I am currently an Audio Newsgatherer for Fox News Radio. Over the course of the last year I have covered a gigantic pillow fight and the 2008 Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. In my spare time I also contribute to the music/film/food website Spectrum Culture. Throughout this site you will find articles I’ve written, audio clips, and video projects I’ve produced. Check them out and please send any feedback to nick.r.brewer@gmail.com Thank you for visiting, |
